The first locomotive in modility design is on the tracks! Since February, a Siemens Vectron by Metrans has been operating throughout Europe, in particular between Hamburg and Eastern Europe. The "look and feel" of the locomotive was developed together with the design agency Railcolor. The message is clear and simple: go online, book a slot, that's it.

Railcolor Design is a one-stop-shop agency for professional locomotive and train design. Creative Director Simon Wijnakker's team works with some of the key players in the European railroad scene. For the modility project, Railcolor Design created a completely new basic design with no connection to existing rail operators and fleet owners.
Siemens Vectron is a locomotive platform from the German rail vehicle manufacturer Siemens Mobility that is geared to Europe-wide cross-border rail transport. Its technical flexibility enables efficient, cost-effective and particularly environmentally friendly transport operations to be carried out. This makes the system an all-rounder and the right solution for anyone who has to meet a wide range of requirements in today's and tomorrow's world.
The Metrans Group provides highly frequent rail connections from the seaports on the North Sea and the Adriatic in order to serve the export-oriented economies of Central Europe.
